Inspection
The process by which an inspector collects information through visual observation during a walk-through survey of a subject property and then generates a meaningful report about the condition of the property based on his/her observations made on the date of the inspection. A general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, as delineated by InterNACHI's Residential Standards of Practice, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by the Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. The scope of work may be modified by the client and inspector prior to the inspection process.
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property to identify defects, within specific systems and components, that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. Both Alabama and Tennessee have a list, called the Standards of Practice (SOP), that calls out the things that must be inspected. Home Inspectors may choose to inspect beyond the SOP but they are not required to.

SERVICES
Being thorough is more than taking my time. It’s also the ability and determination to access hard-to-reach spots. I have the tools and physical ability to inspect nearly every roof, attic, and crawlspace.
My average residential building inspection takes about three hours. It’s not unusual for older and larger homes to require four or more hours to inspect properly. I work alone, not in a team, and you get my full attention.
Your inspection report is available no later than the evening of the inspection day. Not all Huntsville-area home inspectors offer this. Your inspection report is loaded with photos and videos, clearly illustrating defects and what to do about them.

Advanced Technology
As an engineer, I understand the need to keep up with the latest technology. Great Reports, the Same Day
My reports are thorough but have a short and simple summary that lists the major defects most likely to go in the repair request. Create repair lists quickly and easily using the report’s built-in Repair Request Builder or observation cut-and-paste tools. Loaded with color photos and videos, my reports offer clear descriptions of defects, why they matter, and what to do about them.
